19TH MICHAŁ SAWICKI MEMORIAL TOURNEMENT

Our club-mates won three fourth places: Karolina Mońka in women category, Marcin Pietrzak in junior men category and Gaweł Kucowski in men category. Maciej Huszcz placed 9th and Paweł Rutkowski finished 17th in 19th Michał Sawicki Memorial Tournement held in Radom last Saturday.

MACIEJ'S GOT THE SILVER

Maciej Huszcz won silver medal during Polish U-23 Indoor Championships held this weekend in Milówka. It is the only one medal won by athletes of our club. The gold went to Konrad Przesmycki (KS ROKIS Radzymin).

Iwona Marcinkiewicz won bronze medal during Polish Indoor Championships held last weekend in Zamość. Joanna Kamińska ("Czarna Strzała" Bytom) claimed the victory and Ewa Tyll ("Społem" Łódź) took the silver. Men's recurve bows: the gold went to Rafał Dobrowolski ("Stella" Kielce), Jacek Proć ("Strzelec" Legnica) was the second and Michał Jaworski ("Czarna Strzała" Bytom) – third.

Compound bows: 1. Anna Stanieczek ("Orlik" Goleszów), 2. Katarzyna Szałańska ("Strzelec" Legnica), 3. Joanna Cymkiewicz ("Marymont" Warsaw) and men: 1. Włodzimierz Świgoń ("Leśnik" Poznań), 2. Marcin Gołygowski ("Surma POSiR" Poznań), 3. Michał Zieliński ("Leśnik").

Our women's team (Marta Bombolska, Katarzyna Gaworska, Iwona Marcinkiewicz, Katarzyna Płażewska) finished at 8th place and men's team (Maciej Huszcz, Marcin Pietrzak, Maurycy Świeczak and Gaweł Kucowski) was classified at 9th place.

Our mixed team (Marcinkiewicz + Huszcz) did not passed on to quater-finals and finished at 14th position.

Our club-mate won the third place during indoor competition held in Zgierz. The second "Drukarz's" athlete, Maciej Huszcz, did not qualify to a quarter-final phase.

ILVES CUP, II ROUND

4 athletes from Poland took part in II round of Ilves Cup, an e-mail competition organised by the Estonian club "Ilves". Our club-mates: MArcin Pietrzak and Gaweł Kucowski participated in this event and have been classified higher than after the first round. Marcin is on 10th and Gaweł on 39th rank.

INDOOR ARCHERY TOURNAMENT "TURNIEJ MIKOŁAJKOWY"

14 athletes of our Club have been decorated during the competition closing ceremony. Dominika Konopińska, Julia Gajda and Magda Tarnawczyk won three first places in an U-14 category. M. Huszcz, M. Pietrzak and M. Świeczak, after very interesting final match, won men's team competition. M. Bombolska, K. Gaworska and I. Marcinkiewicz placed second in women's team competition.

Individually, Aleksandra Płanecka (U-12) won in her category, Iwona Marcinkiewicz, Maciej Huszcz, Aleksandra Bojard (U-13) and Michał Czajkowski on a second place, Katarzyna Płażewska, Marcin Pietrzak and Paweł Onisk (U-14) on the lowest podium step.

Our club-mates: Iwona Marcinkiewicz, Marcin Pietrzak i Maciej Huszcz placed 2nd in this competition! Iwona also won the inividual competition – she had reached the highest womens result during an hour: 289 points.

FOUR TEAM MEDALS OF OUR ATHLETES

From July 24 to July 26 the 58th Polish Junior Championships and the 23rd Polish Intermediate Championships have been carried out in Legnica. Our club placed 4th in an overall classification in an intermediate category!

Katarzyna Gaworska – 8th individually – won the gold medal in a junior team competition and established a new junior national record in a team match: 219 points (with Anna Grzelak and Paulina Tyszko of "Marymont" Warsaw – as "Mazowsze I" team)!

Marcin Pietrzak was a member of "Mazowsze I" men's team and won silver medal in an intermediate category as well as Jagoda Płażewska, member of "Mazowsze I" women's team! Maciej Huszcz and Maurycy Świeczak won with their team-mates Konrad Przesmycki and Jan Pstrzoch the bronze medal as "Mazowsze III" men's team!. Individually, Maciej Huszcz placed 8th.

26TH IRENA SZYDŁOWSKA MEMORIAL TOURNEMENT

The XXVIth International Irena Szydłowska Memorial Tournement passed off in a beautifull weather conditions! The event has been accompanied by other archery competitions: Mazovia & Warsaw Championships as well as OOM qualifier.

Despite 3 others competitions held in the same time in Poland: Mistrzostwa Krakowa, Puchar Ziemi Dolnośląskiej as well as Baltic Cup, over 100 athletes started and 5 of them came from Lithuania.

the Memorial Tournement was won by Justyna Mospinek who defeated in the final (after 2nd shot off) our club-mate, Iwona Marcinkiewicz. Another "Drukarz" athlete, Jagoda Płażewska was third.

In men's competition, Robert Marcinkiewicz defeated Adam Pazdyka in the final and Maciej Huszcz was 3rd. Jelena Babinina & Vladas Šigauskas won in a compund division. On the winners' podium the following archers stood: Joanna Austyn & Barbara Kozłowska as well as Dariusz Gawryś & Ryszard Kowalski. In a junior category: Anna Grzelak, Paulina Tyszko, Dominika Lubelska and Jacek Neska, Adam Woźnicki, Krzysztof Lewandowski. In a cadet category: Antonina Sułowska, Joanna Gorczyca, Maria Hołownia and Kacper Dominik, Kacper Sierakowski, Jan Seller.

DEATH OF DR KAROL HIBNER

Our colleagues: Maciej Huszcz, Marcin Pietrzak i Maurycy Świeczak placed 4th during II Polish Indoor Youth Championships carried out in Zamość this weekend. The team classified 7th after the qualification round won in a quarter-final with the Kielce's "Stella" team (classified second). However, in a semifinal our colleagues was beatten by the host "Agros" Zamość team and finally lost a match with "Społem" Łódź.

INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS OF MAZOVIA 2009

Three gold medals, one silver one and two bronze ones have been won by our club-mates during Indoor Championships of Mazovia carried out on February 8th in Teresin. Gold medalists are: Iwona Marcinkiewicz (women), Maciej Huszcz (men) and Julia Gajda (girls U-14). Katarzyna Gaworska (junior women) won silver medal and the bronze ones went to Marcin Pietrzak (men) and Magdalena Tarnawczyk (girls U-14).

4th 24 HOURS ARCHERY TOURNAMENT

The tournament has been dominated by our eastern neighbours. There were 12 recurve teams and 4 compound ones. And all medals went to Ukraine!  

The best Polish archers didn't compete. They took part in the Face-2-Face tournament in Amsterdam. However 2 olympic medalists werew present in Radzymin: Viktor Ruban and Oleksandr Serdyuk. Both of them and Maksim Taranienko competed as "Metalist" Kharkiv. What's more, Viktor shot 297 pts during an hour - it is the same as the Jacek Proć's tournament record!

Our club teams (I: Piotr Bratkowski, Maciej Huszcz, Gaweł Kucowski i Marcin Pietrzak and II: Katarzyna Gaworska, Grzegorz Matuszczak, Karolina Mońka i Maurycy Świeczak) finished on 7th and 11th places

Two Poles in finals, five ones in the leading dozen! The event in Amsterdam let our colleagues show their sport class. Both Justyna Mospinek and Piotr Piątek – won silver medals. Other 3 athletes finished among the best dozen of competitors: Małgorzata Ćwienczek (6th place), Jacek Proć (9th place) and our club-mate, Iwona Marcinkiewicz (11th place).

The best archers were Elena Richter and Pascal van der Veeken.

Maurycy Świeczak and Marcin Pietrzak (both juniors) beat their personal best results (Maurycy: 546 pts and I place; Marcin: 510 pts). Maurycy was also the best athletes among juniors after Indoor Olimpic Round FITA, Gaweł Kucowski placed second among seniors seniorów and Kasia Gaworska placed 4th in cadets category. Our Club represented by 2 teams: Drukarz I (Piotr Bratkowski, Katarzyna Gaworska, Karolina Mońka and Marcin Pietrzak) placed 9th (5847 pts) and Dru­karz II (Marta Bombolska, Gaweł Kucowski, Iwona Marcinkiewicz and Maurycy Świeczak) placed 7th (6376 pts). The competition has been won by Kielce's "Trzy cebulowe nosy": Rafał Dobrowolski, Tomasz Przepióra and Sebastian Bątor.
